We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated optometrist to join our dynamic and friendly team.

At Addenbrooke’s Hospital the role of a Specialist Optometrist is varied and stimulating. You’ll be given the opportunity to work in Ophthalmology clinics such as glaucoma, medical retina, cornea and cataract as well as supporting our core optometric services.

There are considerable opportunities for clinical and professional development. You’ll be given the guidance you need and autonomy to develop and flourish within the service.

We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated optometrist to join our dynamic and friendly team.

Previous hospital experience is an advantage but most importantly candidates will have excellent clinical and communication skills and strive to provide exceptional patient care.

About Us

We are a large dynamic ophthalmology department with 16 consultant ophthalmologists. 16 optometrists make up the optometry team including resident, specialist and advanced clinical optometrists along with bank optometrists - each with different roles and responsibilities.

As one of our Resident Optometrists you will be a key member of the team and well supported to develop your own clinical interests and skills.
