The Thames Valley & Wessex Neonatal Operational Delivery Network (TV&W Neonatal ODN) is hosted by University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will work on specific educational projects, as determined by the programme leads, to support implementation of the new national Qualified in Speciality (QIS) standards across the TV&W Neonatal ODN.

The Thames Valley and Wessex Neonatal ODN comprises 14 neonatal units within the region. The ODN team comprises a wealth of expertise including medical, nursing, allied health professionals and administrative staff, all who share a passion for delivering high quality and effective care for neonates and their families.

With the recent launch of the national QIS standards you will be a crucial member of the team in embedding these standards across the ODN, in collaboration with local neonatal service providers.

Using clinical knowledge and teaching expertise, you will collaborate with the Network education team to support the development of the Neonatal QIS pathway to integrate the new National QIS Standards.
You will contribute to an environment which fosters effective practice and encourages implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of new practices.
You will support and teach on study days in person and online (foundation and specialist) as required.
You will work collaboratively with clinical facilitators to support the education of staff from orientation of new staff through to expert management and continuing professional development.

You will assist in building training resources and assessments for the online learning platform (Moodle).

You must hold current NMC registration, the Neonatal QIS course and a recognised mentorship/teaching qualification or their equivalents
Degree level qualification and working towards Master’s degree in a health-related discipline/teaching or level of equivalent experience
Significant post-registration experience in neonatal care
