Occupational Therapist - Lancaster
Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join the team in Cedar, our specialist unit for adults with severe eating disorders. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.
Set within picturesque landscaped gardens in Stockport, Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a range of comprehensive inpatient mental health services for young people and adults.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As an occupational therapist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Manages and co-ordinates the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services ensuring treatments, activities and interventions are delivered through effective application and communication.
- Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking patient assessments to identify and prioritise patient needs before planning and delivering the appropriate and relevant interventions either on an individual or group basis. Maintains accurate and timely records detailing each patient’s rehabilitation / progress.
- Ensures the effective and efficient management of more junior staff.
- Maintains and develops close working relationships with professional and clinical colleagues within the multi-disciplinary team, ensuring clinical practice is in line with Priory policies and procedures and complies with statutory regulations and quality standards.

What you'll bring to the role

The role holder must hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, along with full BAOT membership and HPC registration. They should have at least three years of experience, including a minimum of one year working within a specialized area such as addictions, neuro-rehabilitation, or eating disorders.
