Your new role
An exciting and new part-time temporary Civic Secretary job with an expected duration of 6 months. Duties are varied and include but not limited to:
- Organising and administering the Mayor and Deputy Mayor's day-to-day activities
- Managing and co-ordinating ceremonial events and civic functions
- Dealing with correspondence and speech writing
- Liaising with the Town Sergeant and providing cover when necessary
- Assisting the Democratic Services Manager to develop the Mayoral Service.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this job, you will need to be energetic and passionate about being in a supporting role with excellent communication and people skills, together with being highly organised and have previous senior secretarial or PA experience.
