Senior Pharmacy Technician – Procurement and Medicines Optimisation
The Trust also provides inpatient care for children with complex mental health needs at our Sunflower House building newly relocated, and opened on the hospital site.

We have a new, exciting opportunity for an experienced GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician to take up a full time position of Senior Pharmacy Technician – Procurement and Medicines Optimisation . You will join our committed and friendly team to support the delivery of a high quality paediatric medicines procurement service to our patients.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills and BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent
- • Registered with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council)
- • BTEC Accredited Checking Technician Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria- Extensive previous experience and knowledge of working in a hospital pharmacy environment.
- Demonstrated experience of maintaining stock control systems
- Collaborative working with members of multidisciplinary team
- Experience of paediatric pharmacy
- Previous experience of purchasing in pharmacy
- Previous experience of completing department projects and audits
- Experience of producing medicines expenditure and cost-saving reports
- Experience of undertaking product risk assessments
- Experience of generating crystal reports
- Experience of data analysis and manipulation using Excel
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria- Microsoft Excel and relevant reporting skills using pharmacy computer system e.g. CMM
- Demonstrate the ability to automate reporting using IT skillset
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with health care professionals and parents/carers/patients on professional clinical matters
