BT is going through a transformation journey to move from it’s legacy technology stacks onto new strategic platforms, this is critical to our future success. This role will be critical to the further enablement of that transformation. The role is to lead the design and build of a new AI based Integration platform bringing together other existing platforms.

The aim is to bring unified Dev Sec Ops experience across our core platforms increasing delivery speed, productivity and adoption of API’s and Microservices enabling migration of customers and the closure of legacy.

What you’ll be doing
  • Accountable for leading on the design, build and delivery of a new Integration platform for BT.
  • Partners with a range of internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, update on progress and achieve benefits.
  • Lead a small team (potential mix of FTE and sub-con) in building the BT Integration Engineering Platform.
  • Accountable for the quality of design and build and ensuring the secure build of the platform.
  • Overseeing teams work and ensuring the work is completed to a suitable standard.
  • Supporting the team with both hands-on development and giving guidance and mentoring.
The skills you'll need
  • Proficiency in Java, preferable with Springboot.
  • Containerisation knowledge, particularly docker and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on development experience (ideally in integration related technologies)
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.)
  • RESTful API design and Implementation.
  • Security Knowledge (Authentication and Authorisation)
  • Cloud administration skills (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team of developers
  • Analytical mindset to troubleshoot complex integration challenges.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders of all levels.
  • Hands-on development experience (ideally in integration related technologies)
  • Strong experience in directly leading teams building integration solutions.
