Maintenance Operative

Superstadium Management Company Ltd are looking to recruit a motivated and dedicated individual who will fulfill the role of Maintenance Operative at the MKM Stadium, Hull. The successful candidate will be required to complete a range of maintenance, service and repair work to maintain full operational capability of the site.

Location: MKM Stadium, West Park, Hull, HU3 6HU
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full time 37.5 per week, which may include (occasional) out of hours and weekends callouts dependent on operational requirements

Your key responsibilities
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Diagnosing faults
  • Repairing equipment
  • Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
  • Carry out daily checks of the inner bowl and pitch area for litter
  • Remove stickers from advertising boards, seats and stadium walls
  • Move pallets and deliveries around site
  • Waste management
  • General site repairs and decorations
  • Assist events / security in pre event planning such as setting out barriers and banners for week day events, removing and storing event materials after the event
  • Assist the maintenance with equipment, ladders and platforms etc., acting as third man or banksman
  • To assist the facilities team in ensuring clear and safe pedestrian access to the stadium particularly in adverse weather conditions (e.g. clearing snow, gritting etc.)
  • Receive and check major deliveries such as catering equipment, programs or pitch products
  • Assist the security office if required to open gates etc., during busy periods
  • Office changes i.e. furniture removals / relocations or works at the request of the facilities manager
  • General upkeep of the stadium grounds including jet washing floors, walls and signs, complete minor repairs and assemble furniture
  • Comply with all site Health and safety policies and procedures
What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferable)
  • Good communication skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • A team player and able to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to plan own workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
