Support Worker - Nights female only
Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour
Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit female workers for this particular role.
Shift Patterns:
33 hours/week:
Nights: 7 pm - 7 am
Flexibility is required.

Job Description

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.
Our teams provide care and support for individuals with different conditions at Priory sites all across the UK.
It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. Responsibilities
Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
Assist with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities
Qualifications and Skills
Due to the location of the service, the successful candidate must be a car driver and owner with at least 3 years of driving experience and no penalty points.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
Empathy, understanding and patience
Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
Competent in verbal and written English
A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential

Location Information
Brecon Road is located in Abergavenny. We offer residential support for five female residents who have mental health needs. Our service is off a main road, a short walk from the town centre. We are dedicated to providing a stimulating environment for our residents where they can feel safe and flourish.Our team give the people we care for the greatest opportunity to reach their full potential, by providing nurturing, structured and supportive care.
Disclosure
All roles will be subject to a successful disclosure at an appropriate level from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), Access NI or Disclosure Scotland, and the cost of this will be covered by Priory.
