A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an aspiring, self-motivated individual to join Bolton Foundation Trust's Diagnostic and Support Services Division as a Project Manager.

You will join a team from a number of disciplines and backgrounds to work collaboratively alongside our Senior Leadership Team and colleagues to deliver a number of our small to medium projects across the Trust.

As with all secondment opportunities, interested parties should discuss the opportunity with their line manager before applying.

Main duties of the job

Reporting directly to the Diagnostic Senior Management Team, the post holder will lead and manage the successful implementation of a wide range of designated projects.

The successful candidate will (amongst other duties)
  • Use formal project management methods for the management and delivery of Transformation Projects, through the full project cycle from case for change to delivery and benefits realisation.
  • To create and ensure that project documentation is developed and maintained in line with the Trust project management framework.
  • Ensure risks and issues are identified and countermeasures are in place. Where necessary ensure the appropriate escalation and corrective action to ensure these are resolved.
  • Generate regular reports on the overall progress of the Programme or project team, in conjunction with Senior Staff. This may involve presentation of contentious or challenging messages to senior clinical, operational and corporate teams.

A key deliverable of this role will be the implementation of the Blood-borne viruses opt-out testing in emergency departments project – however other small projects may be included in the role as required.
