**£11.50 per hour**
About the Service User:
S is 8 years old, he loves science, gaming particularly Minecraft, history and natural disasters. S likes to be able to talk about his special interests. S is autistic, PDA, he also has ADHD and ODD. His ADHD is usually managed with medication on school days.Due to is PDA profile, S can be very difficult to encourage to engage in tasks or to get him to leave the house at times. This is why a good understanding of PDA would be desirable. S has no mobility issues. He is bright, funny and likes to share his knowledge about his interests
Hours and Rate of Pay:
Up to 2 hours a week, or up to 4 hours a fortnight, typically at weekends, varied times£11.50 per hourEnhanced DBS certificate will be required or you must be willing to complete a DBS application.
What you Will be Doing:
To take S to do activities he would like to do. To occasionally engage in activities with S at home if he is refusing to go out. To build a trusting relationship with S.
The Person we Would Like:
We are looking for an individual who is calm, patient and understanding. We need someone who can be flexible, as support needs for our son may not be the same each week. We would like someone who is proactive and happy to take our son out for a couple of hours to engage in activities he likes, such as trampolining or nature walks.Sometimes we may require our son to be supported with activities at home as he will sometimes refuse to leave the house. We need someone who can drive and is able to take our son in their car on outings.Experience in working with autistic children is preferred.
A good understanding of autistic PDA profile and ADHD desirable.Qualifications in childcare desirable.
