Surface Grinder Operator

Mike Collins Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Surface Grinder Operator for our busy client based in Dudley.

• Setting and operating of various Blanchard Facing Grinding machines
• Working to tight tolerances.
• Grinding of bearings and bearing related components
• Working to drawings provided ensuring all work is of the highest standard.
• Contributing to the maintenance of Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Promoting good housekeeping for an efficient working environment.

• Experience in working in a similar role would be an advantage.
• Preferably from a mechanical apprentice trained background.
• Experienced in using Grinding Machines.
• Working from Engineering drawings.
• Ability to self inspect work using micrometers and slip gauges.
• Ability to work to close tolerances and using various measuring equipment essential.
• Able to work under own initiative.
• Suitable candidates should be fully experienced in the relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate specific product and technical knowledge.

Rate of pay: £13.33 to £15.69 per hour depending on Experience. Overtime Monday to Thursday time and a third, Friday time and a half.
