We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated individual(s), to take on an exciting opportunity in the role of Outreach Support Worker. This is a mobile role across Aberdeenshire (currently Fraserburgh/Banff area) with an office base located in Aberdeen City (attend office only for monthly team meetings).You will be required to travel as part of the outreach post. It will be your responsibility to organise your own travel.
Key Responsibilities:The role of the Outreach Support Worker with The Salvation Army is critical to providing an enhanced level of service for our vulnerable clients. As an Outreach Support Worker, you will be responsible for taking a lead role in delivering a high-quality housing support service.
This could include assisting with budgeting, setting up a new home, form filling and signposting to other agencies, with the aim to support independent living.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towardsExperience of working with vulnerable clients over a wide geographical area
Knowledge of the benefit system and an understanding of supported housing funding streams and reporting requirements
