Assembly Technician

We have an excellent opportunity in our Technical Team for an Assembly Technician.

The Assembly Technician role is part of a wider Technical Team that ensures the accurate and timely provision of customer orders on behalf of Rapid. The Assembly Technician is expected to undertake general warehouse and technical assembly duties within all the various process paths that operate on site, covering Goods Preparation, Bin-Fill Replenishment and Picking orders.

The main role of the assembly technician is to prepare, create and fulfil kit orders by referring to a sample or creating a new one dependent on the activity, and picking the relevant stock to fulfil the kit requirement. This can vary from stock replenishment to large scale bespoke orders.
Assembly Technicians are also responsible for ensuring orders are created, picked and shipped out in line with our high-quality customer service standards. Once the kit is complete the assembly technician is responsible for replenishing bins when new stock arrives, whilst adhering to FIFO requirements for picking and storing stock, and also to ensure that any goods received are promptly processed, inspected (where necessary), and available for picking and packing in a swift manner.

Assembly Technicians are also accountable for ensuring a high standard of housekeeping is kept at all times across all areas of the Technical department, and ensuring all Health and Safety policies and instructions are followed at all times.
