Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the safety culture and company's values within the Quality team.
- Liaise with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, and other functional support departments to resolve quality problems.
- Maintain and further develop the Quality Management System in line with relevant quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Customer Specifications, and Test methods.
- Conduct internal quality audits and lead / assist in preparing for external audits.
- Track and report on key quality metrics, such as defect rates, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
- Support cross-functional teams in implementing quality initiatives and resolving quality-related problems.
- Developing QM pillar to deliver TPM programme across the site.
- Analyse production and operational processes to identify root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and improve KPI's and KAI's.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Quality Engineer should have:
- Knowledge of P/FMEA, Control Plan, Capability Studies, Gauge R&R, MSA, etc.
- Ability to lead multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
- Logical problem-solving experience using Is-Is Not, Ishikawa, 5 Why's, Action Plans, etc.
- Good communication/influencing skills.
- Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and tools such as statistical process control (SPC).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Highly motivated, results oriented, passionate and approachable.
