Exciting opportunities have arisen to recruit passionate, dedicated and highly motivated Healthcare Assistants that are excited to be part of Coral Ward within Ardenleigh Women's Secure Blended Service

You will act as a positive role model for staff and service users in a manner that positively reflects the Trauma Informed core values and the values of the trust. This is an exciting opportunity for Healthcare Assistants to work in a complex but very rewarding and caring environment which is within a secure setting.

  • Please note that you will be required to work day and night shifts as this is 24/7 service

Main duties of the job

To work within an established team who always strive to offer high quality care to our service users. We are looking for someone who can adapt to change, be open to new experiences and is able to communicate easily with people from diverse backgrounds.

You will receive regular clinical supervision/reflective practice from a range of professionals to enable you to excel within your role on the ward. You will also have access to additional training to enhance your learning around Trauma Informed Care and Dialectical Behavioural Skills awareness.

  • Relevant NVQ or diploma level 2 or above

Experience

  • Experience of working as a healthcare assistant.

  • Experience of working within mental health.

As part of the selection process you may be required to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, however all cases of criminal record history are dealt with on a case by case basis.

Please note, if applicable for your role you will be required to cover the cost of your DBS certificate. This will be deducted from your salary over 3 months. You will also be required to sign up to the DBS Update Service before commencement with the Trust.

All successful applicants will be required to complete the Trust’s induction programme. The Fundamental (Statutory and Mandatory) training will be in an e-learning format. You will be required to complete training modules online (approx. 9-14 hours depending on post) by the end of your first week with us.
