This JCF level General Medicine post has been structured to include General and Acute Medicine in a busy district general hospital. The post is on the University Hospital Lewisham site. Although this post is not formally recognised for training, successful candidates will benefit from the same training and teaching opportunities as our existing core medical trainees.
This post comes with exciting opportunities for further experience in General Medicine and Diabetes& Endocrinology. There will be the possibility to engage in projects associated with their chosen subspecialty. As a result, this post will suit individuals aiming to further their medical experience before embarking on core medical training; or those who have completed core medical training but wish to get further general and specialty experience before committing to specialty training.
Specialist, focused career planning and development will be available to the post holder. The post holders clinical duties will be supported by foundation trainees, IMT1-2 level and ST3+ level colleagues, and a Physicians Associate attached to their respective team.The post holder will have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision to junior colleagues.
