Learning Support Assistant
What skills and experience we're looking for
The Learning Support Department currently has a team of dedicated professionals including 3 assessors, a Special Mentor (Autism), and several Learning Support Assistants. Together we provide assessment, mentoring and classroom support across the College.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join the department as a Learning Support Assistant, providing in class support for named students.
You should:
- Have good organisational skills
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with students and be sympathetic to the needs of students
- Enjoy working with 16-18 year olds
- Have excellent communication skills
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Promote independent learning skills
- Have experience of working at secondary school level or above
