As a Assertive Outreach Volunteer with Change Grow Live you’ll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.

Responsibilities:

With this role you’ll be working as part of the criminal justice team, based in Edinburgh.

The team supports people with their drug and/or alcohol issues.

As an assertive outreach support volunteer, you will play a pivotal role within the local community promoting our services and engaging with our service users/individuals with complex needs and partner agencies.

Your role will be to support the team to engage and support individuals who are experiencing substance misuse issues. You will be responding to referrals, targeting known locations within the community actively engaging and building a positive relationship with people who are experiencing problems with substance misuse.

As part of a team, you will be working with partner agencies, signposting individuals, empowering and assisting them to access relevant services. Supporting them to achieve their goals and make positive changes as well as managing expectations of all involved.
