Since their establishment over 160 years ago, they have become a household name within a number of high-profile industries including Oil & Gas and Power Generation, and now employ over 15,000 people across 180 facilities world-wide.This position is based in ELLON workshop, meaning that the Engineering Operative will be easily able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Aberdeen, Dyce, Peterhead and Inverurie.As a Engineering Operative, you will be responsible for:
Working within a Skilled team, responsible for the overhaul, maintenance, servicing and repairing of industrial machinery & equipmentProviding assistance & support to the Fitters by dismantling machines, sub-assemblies and equipment
Logistics & stores support; using FLTs and other vehicles to move materials, units, tooling and equipment around the facility as required
Conducting other auxiliary duties, including shot blasting, spray painting, machine/component cleaning and kitting parts
The successful Engineering Operative will have:
Previous experience working in an Industrial/Manufacturing environmentMechanical skills – the ability to use various hand & power tools
The ability to safely use Overhead Cranes and Forklift Trucks
Working Hours of the Engineering Operative: 37/40 Hours per week, spread across a regular day shift pattern:
Monday to Thursday – 07:00 to 16:00Friday – 07:00 to 13:00
In return, the Engineering Operative will receive:
Annual Salary: £26,820.56 - £32,136.00 £13.94 - £15.45 per hourAnnual Bonus: Up to £1,800.00
Frequent Overtime Available: Paid at time and a half
Holiday Allowance: 34 Days per annum including public holidays
9 Combined pension contribution 4 employer / 5 employee
