Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subjects.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring they receive the attention they need to succeed.
  • Help prepare classroom materials and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and other school activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting good behaviour and mutual respect.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress and well-being.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth running of the classroom.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • A caring and patient nature, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare would be an advantage but are not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
