The Pharmacy Department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Pharmacy Assistant to support us in the delivery of pharmacy services at HMP Humber. Are you are looking for a new career in pharmacy? Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security. The post holder will be an integral member of the Pharmacy Team, who form part of the wider healthcare.You will be required to support the delivery of Pharmacy Services which will include supply of medication, supervision of administration of medication to prisoners, and providing NHS services to prisoners within your competency.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- NVQ level 2 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent experience).
- Ability to travel independently around Cheshire District
- Willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 or equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
Essential criteria- At least 2 years experience of working in community/hospital pharmacy.
- Knowledge of medicines management issues.
- Experience of working in a prison environment or similar setting.
