We are looking for a Program Manager with strong expertise in Cloud Implementation, particularly with AWS environments, as well as experience in Rego Policy development and management. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end cloud implementation projects, ensuring the successful delivery of cloud solutions that are secure, scalable, and compliant.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, set timelines, manage risks, and ensure that security and governance frameworks (including Rego policies) are seamlessly integrated into cloud operations.

As a Program Manager, you will be pivotal in driving large, complex programs across multiple teams, working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership:
  • Lead and manage complex cloud implementation programs on AWS, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards. Oversee multiple workstreams, managing dependencies and risks to ensure program success.
  • Cloud Architecture & Security: Work with solution architects, security teams, and developers to ensure that cloud infrastructure and services are designed, built, and deployed according to best practices. Ensure that AWS security standards are met, and that security controls are embedded in the program's processes from the start.
  • Rego Policy Implementation: Collaborate with cloud security and compliance teams to define and implement Rego policies for governance and compliance automation. Integrate Open Policy Agent (OPA) with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that security policies are consistently applied across the cloud environment.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Manage communications, expectations, and reporting for both technical and non-technical teams. Provide regular status updates to senior leadership on program progress, risks, and key milestones.
  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams including product managers, cloud architects, security engineers, and developers to ensure seamless integration of cloud services, security policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify and mitigate program risks and issues. Develop and implement mitigation plans as necessary to ensure that the program remains on track. Escalate risks and issues to senior leadership when needed.
  • Process Improvement & Governance: Establish and drive best practices for cloud implementation, ensuring that there is a focus on scalability, security, and compliance. Work closely with teams to optimize workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve the overall implementation process.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed program documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and post-implementation reviews. Ensure that all program deliverables meet compliance and governance standards.
  • Change Management: Manage changes to the program scope, timeline, and resources, ensuring that any adjustments are communicated clearly and are in alignment with overall business objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and services (preferably AWS).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale cloud implementation projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong background in implementing Rego policies for security, compliance, and governance automation, with familiarity in Open Policy Agent (OPA).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud services, infrastructure, and security tools (e.g., AWS IAM, EC2, S3, KMS, VPC).
  • Familiarity with Rego and OPA for creating and enforcing security and compliance policies.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Ia C) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including integrating security policies and governance automation into deployment processes.
  • Program/Project Management Skills:
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-team programs, especially in a cloud or security-focused environment.
  • Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
  • PMP, Pg MP, or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with the ability to drive teams toward successful program delivery.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to effectively present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, make critical decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud security frameworks (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container security in cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of Dev Sec Ops practices and the integration of security policies in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with cloud-native monitoring tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, AWS Config, AWS Guard Duty) to ensure compliance and security policies are enforced across cloud infrastructure.
Job Type: Fixed term contract

Experience:

  • Program Manager: 8 years (preferred)
  • Cloud Implementation (AWS): 8 years (preferred)
  • Rego Policy development: 6 years (preferred)
