We are seeking to recruit two 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work with a 2 pupils - 1 in Key Stage 1 and 1 in Key Stage 2 who have communication challenges The successful candidate will work with a vast team and gain regular CPD and lots of opportunities.

We will be flexible for the right candidate and will offer between 15-30 hours per week, depending on circumstances and preference. JOB OVERVIEW
At Wantage Primary Academy, we are looking for two passionate teaching assistants who would like to join our team. We can offer you supportive staff and well-behaved, hard working pupilsWantage Primary Academy opened in September 2020 with just a few small classes and, by September 2024, we have grown to over 280 pupils in a Nursery class, 2 Reception classes, 2 Year 1 classes, 2 Year 2 classes, a Year 3 class, a Year 4 class, a Year 5 class and a Year 6 class.

We will eventually grow to a full, 2-form entry primary school. This is a golden opportunity to be part of outstanding provision within a growing team.

Main role:The teaching assistant will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team, under the leadership and supervision of the principal.
They will work with individuals/groups to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching and will help raise standards of achievement for all pupils.
Work with the class teachers to deliver purposeful learning opportunities.
They will also supervise children at play time

Work may be carried out in classrooms, intervention/ break out spaces, outdoors or outside the main teaching area

THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: Knowledge of the primary curriculum and its means of deliveryHigh standards of communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work as a team, learn from and lead others.

The ability to positively impact pupil outcomes and progress
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
