Are you passionate about developing the future of Occupational Therapy? We're looking for a dedicated and dynamic OT professional to join the Therapy Management Team at Kings Mill Hospital.
In this leadership role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the OT workforce by: ✅ Collaborating with universities and coordinating student placements

Person specification
Knowledge
Essential criteria- Good understanding of current professional issues and current occupational therapy theory, practice and research
- A substantial, broad clinical knowledge around the core medical, surgical and orthopaedic conditions in the ‘acute’ environment of a District General Hospital, and skilled in applying occupational therapy frameworks
- Modernisation Agenda for the NHS re new ways of working
- Health and Social Care Policy
Qualifications
Essential criteria- BSc/diploma in occupational therapy
- Practice placement educator/APPLE accredited
- Registered with the HPC
- Member of Professional body
- Post registration qualification or training relevant to specialty
- Supervision skills course
- NVQ assessor award
- Leadership training award
Further Training
Essential criteria- ECDL or part ECDL, particularly the management of spreadsheets and/or databases and PowerPoint
- Specialty specific short courses (add as required)
- NVQ assessor
- Leadership training
Experience
Essential criteria- Substantial post graduate clinical experience, most recently working as a senior therapist which includes leadership and management experience
- Proven practical experience teaching small groups and multi-professional teams
- Can lead change and is able to demonstrate implementation of new ways of working within the team
- Formal teaching to large groups within and outside the service
- Proven experience of being an appraissor and supervisor of clinical staff
