An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 6-month fixed term contract for a Business Analyst to join Synnovis, which is a scientific organisation with a clinical purpose for the Southeast London Pathology network. Working in partnership with Guy’s and St.Thomas’s Hospitals, King’s College Hospital, Royal Brompton and Princess Royal University Hospital, we aim to set the standard for the future of pathology.
This role is based in Synnovis Group which provides and manages laboratory facilities, including all equipment, consumables, maintenance services and IT systems.

We are seeking proactive, motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Business Analyst to be a key part of a dynamic and evolving team. You will have a strong client focus, managing complex and sensitive information, liaise and communicate with clinical and non-clinical staff as necessary to ensure all requests are delivered

Main duties of the job
This role is supporting the transformation of Infection Science Pathology services into the Target operating model. The key responsibilities as a Business Analyst, will for eliciting and understanding the business needs of the organisation for a specific project and change initiative.You will then work with the wider Operations team to ensure that deliverables are completed in line with the timescales.
The Business Analyst will assist one or more Operation Managers, Transformation Lead and Director of Operations in the planning and delivery of projects within the portfolio. The role will be responsible for undertaking specific activities as allocated by the Transformation Lead, such as organising meetings and working groups, preparing, and maintaining documents, and preparing plans.The role holder will work in a fast paced and varied environment, using the ability to flex and adapt to changing priorities. Interpreting and communicating complex information with clarity and confidence to multiple stakeholders and planning/delivering multiple activities are key functions in this role.
You will be working with a small team which will link into a much wider team within the organisation and expose you to exciting projects and software.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Working under the direction of the Deputy Operations Service Director, Operations Service Manager, Transformation Lead and the Scientific & Operations, to lead on the transformation of Synnovis in line with SYNLAB UK and Ireland BAFO and Vision for the future pathology network.
This role includes a wide range of clinical engagement and business analysis services to support a transition and transformation projects, including the documentation of current and future pathway for the Target operating model.- To develop and document key business requirements to aid the technical teams in understanding system specification requirements
- To undertake process analysis and design for transformation projects within Synnovis
- To undertake testing of new processes and systems
- To contribute to the production and management of project risk & issue logs
- To undertake stakeholder management on transformation projects
- To assist the Senior Users and SMEs in the identification of gaps in system functionality and create mitigation plans for identified gaps in system functionality
- To be a central contact point for business change activities such as SOPs, Training and H&S plans and documents
- To challenge the status quo and contribute to the growth and development of Synnovis

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- BCS Foundation certificate in Business Analysis or equivalent
- BCS Foundation certificate in Business Change
- BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent
Experience
Essential criteria- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience in Requirements engineering
- Experience in Business Change Management
- Experience of Business Analysis methodology and industry best practice
- Excellent process Mapping Skills
- Experience of COTS product implementation
- Experience of a pathology environment
- Experience of working in the NHS
- Experience in the field of Clinical Intelligence
- Experience in the field of healthcare appointment platforms
