Description
The Housing Liaison Officer plays a vital role in connecting families and individuals to safe and affordable housing options while promoting sustainable practices and community engagement. In this dynamic position, you will work closely with various stakeholders including housing authorities, landlords, and tenants to facilitate smooth housing transitions.Your efforts will directly impact the quality of life for those in need of housing assistance. You will be responsible for providing essential support and resources to those navigating the complex housing landscape. This includes conducting outreach to educate the community about available housing programs, assisting in filling out applications, and connecting clients to additional social services.
By fostering strong relationships with community partners, you will help create a network of resources to address housing challenges. Additionally, you will advocate for the housing needs of individuals and families, ensuring their voices are heard at policy discussions.

ResponsibilitiesServe as a main point of contact for individuals seeking housing assistance in the community.
Coordinate outreach activities to promote housing programs and resources to potential clients.
Assist clients in completing housing applications and entering into rental agreements.
Build and maintain relationships with landlords, property managers, and housing agencies.
Provide clients with information and resources related to tenant rights and responsibilities.
Conduct follow-up visits and calls to ensure clients are adjusting well to their new housing situation.
Advocate for the housing needs of individuals and families at housing and policy meetings.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in social work, public relations, urban planning, or a related field.
Experience working in housing assistance or community outreach programs.
Strong knowledge of local housing laws, programs, and resources.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using technology and software for case management and reporting.
Commitment to social justice, equity, and community service.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £17.54
