KS1 CLASS TEACHER (Maternity cover – Fixed Term 1 year)

Harry Gosling Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent and committed Key Stage 1 teacher to join our dedicated and supportive staff team.

We are looking for a strong classroom practitioner with experience or interest in KS1, who is passionate about early learning and has a clear understanding of how young children learn best.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Has strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, particularly early reading and phonics
• Demonstrates high expectations for all pupils
• Delivers engaging, creative and inclusive lessons
• Uses assessment effectively to support progress
• Builds strong relationships with pupils and families
• Works collaboratively as part of a team
• Is committed to ensuring every child succeeds

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in KS1
• Ensure pupils make strong progress from their starting points
• Support the development of early reading, writing and mathematics
• Contribute to whole-school improvement
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards
