To be able to express sound reasoning for all aspects of clinical practice. To recognise own limitations within clinical practice/knowledge and seek advice from the CNS, to clarify the appropriate course of action in cases that are beyond their clinical experience To actively participate in clinical supervision on a regular basis To document all clinical activity accurately using agreed local and national standards.
To demonstrate an ability to communicate and work with service users and carers from diverse background. Technical/Administrative duties: To be responsible for filing and stock control as required. To participate in the collection of data for audit purposes.
To participate in general housekeeping activities within the department To ensure equipment used for assessment and treatment sessions is safe, clean, and available To ensure that there are appropriate forms and literature necessary for treatment sessions.
Self-development: To adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales, HCSW Career Framework and all other relevant Health Board policies and procedures To develop, and maintain up to date knowledge and skills appropriate to the grade and this post To recognise limitations and potential scope for development to enhance practice To have responsibility for identifying learning needs in consultation with the CNS.
To seek out opportunities to develop knowledge and skills both within, and outside of ABUHB To keep a portfolio of your achievements, accomplishments, and skills necessary for the role To review and reflect on your own practice and performance in line with ABUHBs guidelines To participate in regular professional supervision and annual appraisal (PADR) Service delivery and improvement: To contribute to the induction of students and new staff within the setting To undertake all procedures, always respecting the dignity, privacy, religious and cultural beliefs of service users To ensure enquires to the Cardiac Rehabilitation service are dealt with in an appropriate and professional manner To contribute to the smooth running of the programme and office base To participate in clinical governance and quality improvement as required by the service To investigate new treatment techniques or ways of working that may benefit the service To take part in audit activity as required by the service To undertake projects that will benefit the programme attendees This job description is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities but is an outline framework.
