Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with special educational needs across a variety of schools around Hinckley. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
- Assist with classroom activities, helping students to engage with their learning.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as needed.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.
- Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Work closely with the class teacher to develop tailored strategies for student progress.
- Encourage independence and self-esteem in students, helping them to reach their full potential.
- Assist with personal care, where necessary, in accordance with the needs of the students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare (such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or similar) is preferred, but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
