About Us
Waterside is a proudly family-owned business that has been creating unforgettable holiday experiences for over 60 years. With three stunning holiday parks in the Weymouth area and one nestled near the picturesque town of Looe in Cornwall, we’re at an exciting point in our journey.

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Executive to join our vibrant team at our Weymouth Head Office, located in the breathtaking Bowleaze Cove.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative thinker to take ownership of our social-first content and be an integral part of our wider marketing campaigns. You’ll help tell the stories behind our brand, bringing them to life through engaging content that captivates our audience.

If you live and breathe social media, have a flair for creative storytelling, and love the idea of shaping the digital social voice of our holiday brand, this role is for you.

We’re looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of social media platforms, video editing software, and scheduling tools. You’ll need a keen eye for design, strong copywriting skills, and excellent organisational abilities to juggle deadlines while producing scroll-stopping content.
Purpose
The purpose of this role is to take full ownership of our social-first content and play a key role in shaping the digital voice of our holiday brand. You will be responsible for developing and executing creative social media strategies that bring our brand stories to life, engaging and growing our audience across various platforms.

By producing high-quality, engaging content; ranging from photography and video to graphics and copy—you will drive awareness, increase engagement, and contribute to the success of our wider marketing campaigns. This role requires a creative thinker with a passion for social media, excellent storytelling abilities, and strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities/Duties
  • Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy that drives organic growth and engagement across all major platforms.
  • Create high-quality content (copy, photography, and graphics) for Waterside’s social media pages, showcasing the company’s four holiday parks.
  • Manage and curate Waterside’s content library to ensure it’s always fresh, relevant, and reflective of the company brand identity.
  • Collaborate with external marketing agencies on paid social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with the company brand goals.
  • Craft engaging, creative copy for email campaigns that resonate with Waterside’s audiences.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with campaign planning and execution.
  • Present campaign ideas and performance results to internal teams, showcasing the impact of your work.
  • Capture and produce captivating photos, videos, and graphics that tell Waterside’s story visually.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance, regularly reporting on key metrics.
  • Implement organic advertising campaigns to drive awareness and bookings.
Health & Safety
Comply with all relevant health and safety guidelines and company policies, use protective equipment (PPE) as required, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Equality of Opportunity
All staff are expected to support and implement Waterside’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Equality of Opportunity Policy.

From time to time, the post holder may be asked to take on additional duties that are in line with the role and adapt to changes in legislation, regulations, or company practices.
