The Role:
The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate records and reconciliations. The role focuses on the order-to-cash process, internal reporting, and treasury management. Close collaboration with Finance, Operations, and Corporate functions is required to provide insights for leadership.
Managing a team of four, the Finance Manager will need strong accounting, reconciliation, and leadership skills to drive improvements. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role offers exposure to a fast-paced, private equity-backed business with growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Operations & Accounting- Develop and improve financial processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
- Manage financial transactions with UK teams and an offshore shared service centre.
- Ensure revenue recognition aligns with US GAAP and UK GAAP.
- Strengthen financial controls, addressing risks and weaknesses.
- Oversee the month-end close process for timely reporting.
- Manage intercompany transactions and variance analysis.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
- Oversee treasury platforms and streamline cash reporting.
- Lead and develop a finance team, fostering continuous improvement.
- Work closely with an offshore shared service centre for financial processes.
- Strengthen relationships across the business and finance teams.
- Support finance transformation projects.
Requirements:
Technical & Professional Skills- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (5+ years PQE preferred).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP experience is a plus).
- Experience with intercompany and revenue recognition
- Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in financial control environments.
- Proficiency in financial process improvement and reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- SAP Hana/BPC experience beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Team player willing to support beyond core responsibilities.
