Finance Manager

The Role:

The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate records and reconciliations. The role focuses on the order-to-cash process, internal reporting, and treasury management. Close collaboration with Finance, Operations, and Corporate functions is required to provide insights for leadership.

Managing a team of four, the Finance Manager will need strong accounting, reconciliation, and leadership skills to drive improvements. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role offers exposure to a fast-paced, private equity-backed business with growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations & Accounting
  • Develop and improve financial processes, ensuring accurate reconciliations.
  • Manage financial transactions with UK teams and an offshore shared service centre.
  • Ensure revenue recognition aligns with US GAAP and UK GAAP.
  • Strengthen financial controls, addressing risks and weaknesses.
  • Oversee the month-end close process for timely reporting.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting.
  • Oversee treasury platforms and streamline cash reporting.
Leadership & Management
  • Lead and develop a finance team, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with an offshore shared service centre for financial processes.
  • Strengthen relationships across the business and finance teams.
  • Support finance transformation projects.

Requirements:

Technical & Professional Skills
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (5+ years PQE preferred).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP experience is a plus).
  • Experience with intercompany and revenue recognition
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in financial control environments.
  • Proficiency in financial process improvement and reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • SAP Hana/BPC experience beneficial but not essential.
