Production Operator - Skilled

Working Pattern: Full Time (4 on 4 off: 7am- 7pm, 7pm- 7am)
Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation in the Melton Mowbray area, is currently seeking a Skilled Production Operative to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable company in the manufacturing industry.
What are we looking for?- Experience in a factory or warehouse environment as machine operator or similar.
- Forklift Truck licence would be a nice to have but not crucial.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work collaboratively with up colleagues.
- Able to accurately record data and use a computer.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery on their line in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective shift handovers are carried out.
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure we are producing first class products.
- Identification and resolution of basic faults in processes or machines in your area
- Report and escalate any concerns and issues.
- Follow strict Health and Safety protocols to ensure safety to you and those around you.
Requirements:
- GCSE level in English and Maths at Grade C or above or equivalent
- Good team player with a flexible approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn PC based systems
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

This role offers a competitive hourly rate of £12.77 raising to £13.25 once fully trained and follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (7am- 7pm, 7pm- 7am).
Located just a few minutes' walk from a train station, the Factory is conveniently situated in Melton Mowbray.
