Multi-Trade Operative

Plymouth & Cornwall – covering the South West

  • £35,476 per year

40 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, covering different sites across the South West. As a Multi-Trade Operative you will be working in properties across the TA and PL areas as part of the team with some lone working also required.

These works are predominantly in domestic properties and duties include bricklaying, plumbing, carpentry and general maintenance. Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools in order for you to complete jobs to a high standard.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

  • Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
  • Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
  • Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
  • Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

  • To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented
  • G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
  • Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to priorities workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving license
