Lead Out of Hours Registered Veterinary Nurse - Glasgow

Salary: £31,200 per annum plus amazing benefits

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to step into a Lead Nurse role, working alongside a Nursing Manager. This role is ideal for someone with experience in nursing and/or leadership, ready to take on more responsibility in guiding a team and upholding high clinical standards.

About the Role:
As the Lead Nurse, you will collaborate closely with the Clinical Nursing Manager to lead the Out of Hours team, ensuring high standards of care are delivered. In addition to your leadership duties, you'll be an active part of the general nursing team, supporting the entire practice.

This role is mostly clinical work with minimal admin leaving you free to do what you do best and love the most.

You'll also focus on ensuring that our patients receive top-notch care, while contributing to the growth and success of the practice. Maintaining strong communication with other Lead Nurses and the Clinical Nursing Manager is key to ensuring smooth operations and consistent standards across the board.

Leadership is a key component of this role. You'll be responsible for guiding and supporting your team, overseeing the implementation of best nursing practices, and providing mentorship where needed. You'll also ensure that new team members are properly inducted and coached, delivering feedback and helping them grow through performance plans.

You'll be joining a skilled and supportive team of over 10 Vets, with postgraduate certificates. We have a diverse caseload, and our nurses play a vital role in patient recovery and rehabilitation. Nurse input is highly valued here, and we ensure our facilities are well-equipped so that our nursing team can deliver the best possible care.

What We're Looking For: An experienced RVN, ideally with leadership or specialised nursing experience.

A Clinical Coach/Supervisor qualification would be beneficial, though training will be provided for those without coaching experience.

A passion for mentoring and supporting the development of new nurses.
