The Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 ADHD Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with a specific student with ADHD, supporting them in overcoming learning barriers, promoting engagement, and encouraging positive behaviours in the classroom.
Your support will be key to the child’s progress and well-being within the school setting.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with ADHD or similar behavioural challenges is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of ADHD and its impact on learning and development.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- A positive and nurturing approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
- An understanding of the Church of England ethos and a willingness to support the school's values.
