Assistant Manager - Moulding

MMM Studios is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Assistant Manager to join our dynamic Moulding team on a 12 month secondment. As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the impeccable quality of our iconic Madame Tussauds figures.If you thrive in a creative environment and are ready to lead a team to new heights, we want to hear from you!
As Assistant Manager your key objectives will be to oversee the quality and management of Moulding work produced at MMM Studios. You will ensure figures are delivered to 'world-class' quality standards, on time, and within budget. You will proactively recruit, train and develop a talented team while ensuring a safe working environment.
- Lead Moulders to deliver Madame Tussauds world-class standards, ensuring outstanding customer feedback.
- Develop a program to recruit and train Juniors from Colleges.
- Ensure resources are in place to meet MMM's growth strategy for each project.
- Collaborate with the Digital Moulding Assistant Manager to implement cutting-edge Digital & 3D processes.
- Prioritise Health & Safety in the Department.
- Maintain world-class figure quality, working closely with Figure Stylist, Senior, and Principal, ensuring they accurately interprets briefs.
- Share new techniques and processes with Attractions for effective onsite maintenance.
- Manage the Department Schedule, ensuring timely delivery and agreed-upon quality.
- Recruit and train Moulders to meet required quality standards.
- Lead and develop direct reports, fostering a positive and professional team spirit.
- Schedule work in collaboration with other Production Departments.
- Manage the Department's annual Capex spend, prioritising Health & Safety.
- Drive innovation, identifying new processes and techniques.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience as a seasoned Head Moulder with extensive experience in Moulding, Casting, Finishing, and Plaster piece moulding.
- Relevant Arts/Technical degree or extensive work experience in this area is a key requirement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with proven collaboration skills, able to negotiate win-win situations.
- Adaptability to a changing workload with a can-do attitude.
- Ability to patiently train a team with varied digital experience.
- Approachable and a natural problem solver.
