We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Social Care Worker to join our team, specializing in supporting children with disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors. This vital role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children who require additional care and understanding.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver individualized support plans, enabling children to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. This position demands a high level of empathy, patience, and resilience, as you will engage with children facing various challenges daily.
Your role will also involve encouraging positive behavior through various therapeutic techniques, fostering the development of social skills, and promoting independence. Additionally, you will support families, ensuring open communication to foster cohesive relationships between the children, their families, and caregivers.
As a Children’s Residential Social Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, empowering them to reach their full potential and improving their quality of life in a supportive residential setting.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support and care to children with disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviors.
Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Foster a safe and supportive environment for children to express themselves.
Engage children in various activities to develop social skills and promote inclusion.
Monitor and document children’s progress, behaviors, and needs accurately.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational staff.

Communicate effectively with families regarding children's progress and concerns.

Requirements
Experience working with children with disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Strong understanding of autism and related support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Patience, empathy, and resilience in the face of daily challenges.
Relevant qualifications in social care or child development are preferred.

Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.

Hours Per Week: Start Time: 17:00

End Time: 01:00
Pay Per Hour: £11.44

Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
