About the Role:
As a Social worker/Senior Social Worker, you will be part of a skilled and dynamic team supporting children and families. You’ll be involved in assessing, planning, and implementing interventions to safeguard children and support families in need.You will lead and collaborate with your colleagues to ensure the safety and well-being of children across the county, working creatively and solution-focused to achieve positive outcomes.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead and support a team of social workers in safeguarding children and supporting families.Assess, plan, and implement interventions to reduce risks and meet unmet needs.
Work in partnership with multi-agency professionals to help keep children safe.
Support the development of less experienced staff in a social work environment.
Use a relational practice approach to engage children and families in meaningful ways.
What We Need From You:
Qualified Social Worker - Registered with Social Work England and completed your ASYEExperience in Safeguarding - Extensive post-qualification experience in children’s services
Leadership Skills - Ability to lead and guide a team in a supportive, collaborative way
Commitment - Passion for delivering best practice and safeguarding children and families
Knowledgeable - Familiarity with relevant legislative frameworks and available services
Desirable: Experience in supporting less experienced colleagues in a social work setting
