We are looking for and administrative assistant to the Governance and DP Manager in order to support effective governance activitywithin Acis and ensuring compliance within our relevant Data Protection compliance. You're the one that's going to deliver an
exceptional administrative service and help keep us compliant and in shape.

As a Governance and Data Protection Administrator, a typical day might include:
- Making sure that all the necessary arrangements are in place for our committee meetings, preparing the agendas in advance,
- Attending the committee meetings and take the minutes, making sure that you note any actions, and record all the committee’s
- Ensuring that the committee minutes are done professionally and timely and you will ensure that the committee stays within its
- Capturing actions in the committee meeting are shared and then updated prior to the next meeting and making sure that the
- Providing administrative support to the Governance and DP Manager in coordinating Acis’ Annual General Meeting and Board away
- Helping to ensure that all the statutory company registers are kept up to date.
- Assisting the Governance and DP Manager in the preparation of the Regulatory Standards self-assessments, and the
- Ensuring that the Acis group continually complies with all things data protection, and you support the Governance and DP
- You are the one who keeps our Signing and Sealing Registers in order, and up to date, ensuring that all documents signed or
sealed on behalf of any company in the Acis group are correctly entered into the appropriate register. You will also ensure
that those documents are properly executed, and you will be the one who facilitates that, liaising with our Board, ExecutiveLeadership Team and Company Secretary as appropriate.
- Keeping track of any information security breaches that occur, monitoring them and identifying any trends or learning that can
- Understanding the impact of the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, assist our colleagues with their Data Protection Impact
appropriate.
Some of the experience/skills we need to consider you (Dont worry if you dont tick every box):
- A great standard of education, with at least 5 GCSEs at grades A-C (or equivalent) with one being in English.
- Excellent typing skills.
- The ability to take concise and accurate minutes of meetings and produce them for the Chair in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- You have a great eye for detail, and are extremely organised and logical in your approach.
- You’re happiest when you are working within a team environment as we all support each other, but equally you will be able to
- You must know how to keep the information that you hear from working in your role confidential.
- You can prioritise your workload effectively, despite ever changing deadlines and goals.
What will make you stand out from the crowd (but not essential):
- A recognised qualification in typing.
- A qualification, or good experience of minute taking, would be amazing.
- A qualification, or good experience of advising on data protection matters.
- ECDL or similar for all our computing needs.
- Experience of working within governance and/or data protection environment.
- You can find solutions in creative ways, to a wide range of issues is one of your strengths.
- You have worked within the housing sector before.
- You’ll be adept at change, having got hands on experience living and breathing new ways of working and knowing how to bring
your colleagues along for the experience.
