Description

Compact Security Services are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Team leader to join our team on a fixed-term basis commencing mid May until September. Working 30 hours per week, with opportunity for additional hours during peak periods.

This role will work closely with our office manager and resourcing team and oversee a small team focusing on co-ordination and delivery of key elements required for festival and event service delivery, ensuring everything from equipment to uniforms is picked and packed correctly and on time.

Duties will include:

  • Oversee and support a small team in planning and packing for upcoming events and festivals.
  • Work in conjunction with the Office Manager to coordinate all requirements to ensure all targets achieved in line with established timelines and plans.
  • Accurately pick, pack, and palletise requisitions for delivery in line with established schedules.
  • Ensure all deliveries checked and stock levels maintained with effective stock rotation in place for perishable items
  • In conjunction with resourcing team adhere to site delivery logistics and timelines, to ensure all items ready and packed for pick up .
  • Receive all returned items following events ensuring all counted back in, and any shortages reported and tracked in line with procedures
  • Where required deliver items to site or collect items from local suppliers – therefore a clean driving license is essential.
  • Operate forklift machinery where necessary – a forklift license is preferred .

Requirements

The right candidate for this role will have :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in logistics, operations, or events planning.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Hands-on, team-focused attitude with the ability to lead by example.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including occasional extended hours, including weekends during peak periods.
  • A clean UK driving licence (essential).
  • Forklift license
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physical work as part of the role
