Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.
We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you're a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of Packaging Machinery equipment, which is manufactured and supplied to all parts of the globe.
THE ROLE:
- Attend specification meetings with customers.
- Providing technical guidance to colleagues and take ownership for mechanical design aspects of a project.
- Maintain good standards in terms of project documentation.
- Work closely with multi disciplined design engineers, resolving any issues and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Remain commercially aware during projects.
- Produce parts lists, assembly drawings and detail drawings.
- Carry out risk assessments on machinery and assemblies of machinery.
- Attend project meetings and update the Project Managers on engineering progress.
THE PERSON:
- 5+ years' experience as a Mechanical design engineer.
- Experienced with Solidworks or similar.
- Produce 2d and 3d models.
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis.
- Confident leading a technical team on larger projects.
