Travel and Transport Office Manager
Millfield School is looking for a highly organised and proactive Travel and Transport Office Manager to oversee its diverse transport operations. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of the school’s vehicle fleet, including minibuses and other transport services across the Senior and Preparatory schools.
Key responsibilities include maintaining vehicle records, managing insurance policies and claims, scheduling MOTs, handling road licences, and coordinating hired transport. You will also oversee bookings for school trips, academic travel, and major events, ensuring seamless logistics.Additionally, you will monitor travel disruptions and provide timely updates to keep journeys stress-free for students and staff.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient professional with strong communication and leadership skills. You will work closely with staff, pupils, parents, and external vendors, making teamwork and collaboration essential. The ideal candidate will have managerial experience and a proven ability to implement systems that enhance efficiency.While experience in the transport sector and an Operator’s Licence is advantageous, they are not required.
This is a year-round role working 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. In return for your dedication and commitment, you will receive a salary of circa £32,234 per annum, plus an array of staff benefits including a generous holiday entitlement, freshly prepared lunches for just £10 per month, access to the school facilities, and discounts/cashback on high street shops and restaurants through the school’s Employee Assistance Programme.
