Band 3 Rheumatology DAWN Remote Patient Monitoring Assistant Administrator

This role does not offer visa sponsorship.

**PLEASE NOTE: this is not a remote/home-working role - you will be required to work on-site at the hospital.**

The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to Rheumatology patients’ pathway of care for remote blood monitoring.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure patients on a remote monitoring pathway is managed smoothly.

You will also work closely with the Rheumatology CNSs and Consultants to support robust monitoring of the patient remote monitoring of their condition and act accordingly to the specialty instructions and SOPs.

To work closely with the DAWN/Biologic Multispecialty Remote Monitoring Administrator for Integrated Medicine and closely with the Rheumatology Clinical Administration Team (CAT 9) to ensure appropriate cross-cover is provided.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact.

To provide a consistent approach across the Trust, to ensure that functions of the role are carried out correctly within given timescales, as per SOPs.

The post holder will demonstrate polite, clear, accurate advice line support for patients and document all communication on EPR and DAWN, with some self-guided initiative.

The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and seek help from clinician when appropriate.

Person specification

Education/ Qualifications/ Training:

Essential criteria
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A-C
  • Accurate data entry, typing and analytical skills
  • Experience of working with patients and providing information regarding their appointments or treatment plan
  • Significant Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel or patient monitoring IT application
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration/Customer Care or acquired equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in the NHS healthcare administrative system and process

Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Polite, Clear and accurate telephone manners
  • Excellent communication skills with particular ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary team members and patients
  • Ability to demonstrate motivation to learn, develop and progress
  • Excellent time keeping and management
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding of patient priorities and performance targets related to appointments and waiting times
  • Understanding and able to liaise with Primary Care, GP and community services
