Shift Times: 08:00 - 17:00

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Manpower is recruiting a permanent 7.2 Tonne Delivery Driver for our fantastic client, offering new facilities and equipment. Join a growing company committed to making a positive difference!

As part of the role, you may be required to travel to other depots for training. This will provide you with the opportunity to enhance your skills, gain valuable experience, and integrate with the wider team across different locations. Flexibility and willingness to travel are essential for your professional development in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Fresh Oil & Collect Used Oil: Transport fresh cooking oil to the catering trade and collect used oil for return to the Microsite.
  • Customer Engagement: As the face of the business, you'll build strong relationships with customers, ensuring timely, friendly, and efficient service. You may also assist in generating new business during deliveries.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and regular maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues.
  • Safe Driving & Loading: Safely load and unload cargo, adhere to traffic laws, and ensure all cargo is securely transported.
  • Payment Handling: Manage cash and pre-paid card transactions during deliveries and maintain accurate records.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Record information on oil delivery and collection, complete Waste Transfer Notes, and report any missed deliveries.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driving Licence: With a clean driving record.
  • Delivery Driving Experience in the UK: Strong knowledge of UK road laws and safety regulations / specifically in a similar vehicle
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Able to liaise effectively with customers, dispatch, and other drivers.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Customer Service Skills: A positive approach to engaging with customers is essential.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of handling unexpected situations.
  • Attention to Detail: Particularly in document checks and records.
  • Strong Work Ethic: Reliable, flexible, and able to work long hours, including weekends if required.
