Dental Receptionist / Dental Nurse (with potential for progression)

About you:

We are Ideally looking for a GDC registered Dental Nurse, to add to our established Team, the role will predominantly be based on reception, but their may be a requirement to cover in surgery when the need arises. There is also scope for progression as a TCO for the right candidate.

What we need from you:

  • 6m+ dental experience.
  • Valid GDC registration and Indemnity Insurance.
  • Experience with SOE software is desirable but not essential.
  • Appropriate vaccinations testing and booster record.
About the practice:

Compton Acres Dental Practice, situated in the Compton Acres Shopping Centre, provides excellent private and specialist dentistry from our modern clinic in West Bridgford. Our services include general dental services, cosmetic treatments, dental implants, endodontics, and orthodontics.

Located in West Bridgford the practice benefits from local amenities, free parking and excellent transport links including bus and tram.

In brief, the role comprises of the following duties:

  • Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
  • Handle incoming calls, addressing inquiries and providing information about services.
  • Maintain patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
  • Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries as needed.
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organised reception area.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the practice.

As Required:

  • Setting up and closing down surgeries in a timely manner, including preparation before sessions such as printing day lists, preparing for treatments etc...
  • Assisting the dentist, hygienist, or therapist by providing dental chairside support; being adaptable to their individual preferences/needs.
  • Decontamination duties, including the processing of dental instruments in line with current guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and cross-infection control in clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Supporting the Practice Manager in maintaining a high level of compliance using our online compliance tool.
  • Adhering to practice policies and procedures.
  • Providing feedback to the Practice Manager, that will help the practice improve ways of working for the benefit of colleagues and patients.
  • Establish, promote, and maintain productive working relationships with all of the dental team.
  • Provide all patients with a first-class experience with our practice.
