Clerical Officer - Aintree LOSS | Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Clerical Officer to join the Aintree LOSS Weight Management Team based at Aintree Hospital.
You will be an integral part of the team helping people living with obesity to manage thier weight and, as the first contact for patients accessing the service, will have an important role in welcoming and helping our patients feel supported throughout their engagement with us.
You will work as part of a small administrative team to provide administratve support for all the clinicans and ensuring patients in the service have a smooth journey with us.
To undertake clerical duties within the office area and provide reception duties to ensure the needs of the service are met. This will include:- Processing referrals.
- Dealing with telephone, text and email queries.
- Scheduling appointments to maximise clinic utilisation.
- Actioning tasks from clinicians including sending onward referrals and clinic notes and managing waiting lists.
- Clinic reception as needed.
- Attending Team meetings.

- Responsible for maintaining accurate filing system, case notes and other relevant documentation.
- To deal, as appropriate, with enquiries from staff, members of the public in person and by telephone, and visitors to the Service.
- Assist with photocopying duties as necessary.
- Receive goods deliveries to the Service, signing appropriate documentation.
- To provide reception support, as and when required, including receiving and admission of clients to the service and assisting with enquiries.
- To be responsible for maintaining the administration and storage of data, in accordance with local policies and procedures.
- To take responsibility for good housekeeping in the Office / Reception / Waiting area, ensuring they are kept clean and tidy.
- To be responsible for the opening and closing of buildings/service area,
- Orders stock as required.
- The post holder shall as necessary provide cover for and undertake duties of absent colleagues.
- The post holder shall follow all the policies and procedures of the organisation. Processing referrals.
