They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Technician to join their dynamic team based in Norwich

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing analysing and overseeing the construction of various structures ensuring they are safe sustainable and built to the highest standards This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles as well as proficiency in relevant software tools Responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning design and implementation of infrastructure projects
  • Site Surveys Conducting site surveys and collecting relevant data to assist in project planning
  • Drafting and Reviewing Creating and reviewing technical drawings and blueprints using CAD software
  • Cost Estimation Assisting in the preparation of project cost estimates
  • Project Monitoring Monitoring project progress and maintaining project documentation
  • Compliance Ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations
  • Quality Control Performing quality control and quality assurance inspections
  • Reporting Preparing and presenting reports to stakeholders
  • Technical Support Providing technical support to engineers including structural civil and water resource engineers
  • Field Audits Conducting field audits of existing facilities and infrastructure
Experience
  • Degree in civil engineering technology or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in the field is highly valued
  • Ability to create and modify technical drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software
  • Strong grasp of civil engineering concepts and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address design and construction issues
  • High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with engineers architects and contractors
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and coordinate with various stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
