Job Type: Full-time, permanent (Mon to Fri/Alternate Saturday Mornings). Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:30pm, and alternate Saturdays 08:00 am - 12:00 pm.
Location: Unit 3, Central Trading Est, Cole Avenue, Gloucester GL2 5HA

Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Assistant/Driver to join our rapidly growing team within our Gloucester branch. The role will suit someone with a strong knowledge of the warehouse functions within a trade counter/showroom environment of Building Plastics or the Building Industry.
Who are we?Principality Plastics Warehouse sells DIY/trade products for the building and maintenance sector. We supply to both the trade and DIY Markets through our branch network in Cardiff, Gelli, Gloucester and Swansea.
What you’ll be doing:
We are looking for an energetic warehouse worker to receive and dispatch merchandise to and from our warehouse. The warehouse worker will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles, stock cycle counts, stock takes and keep the warehouse working safely and efficiently.
You will always keep your work environment clean and tidy, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. You will also be required to help with sales on the trade counter, taking calls from suppliers and replying to emails.
You will also be responsible for delivering goods to customers within a 40 mile radius.To ensure success you need the ability to follow instructions and operate in an orderly manner. Preferred applicants are hard-working, focused and have outstanding problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload Delivery vans – Checking incoming stock is correct to paperwork and storing it correctly.
- Picking customer orders from paperwork correctly and efficiently.
- Ensure the warehouse is kept clean and tidy – and keeping in line with Health & Safety guidelines.
- Deliver goods to customers.
- Inform purchasing when stocks are running low.
- Constantly review working practices recommending areas for improvement.
- Taking inbound calls when the sales team are unavailable.
- Covering trade counter during busy periods.
What you will have:
- Highly motivated within a warehouse environment.
- Clean driving license.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of the building sector.
- Basic IT Capabilities including Outlook, Excel & Word.
- A full clean UK driving license.
