What we’re looking for…

This role is responsible for the management of finished goods within the Barr Soft Drinks estate.

This involves working with large amounts of data to drive insight and takes prompt action to help reduce wastage in the group.

The role holder will be in charge of the movement of stock around the various sites to maximise availability whilst also considering the shelf life of our products.

Finally whilst the key consideration is service, the role holder will also track cost to serve and work to minimise this at all times.

Your responsibilities will include...

As an Availability & Customer Support Planner your responsibilities will include;

Safe and Engaged Teams:

  • Working with the other members of the Customer Service team to execute improvement projects.
  • Be a key member of the team ensuring colleagues are supported and treated with respect, supporting one another to grow and maximise potential. A positive can-do attitude is required to successfully deliver the outcomes.

Consistently Meeting Customers and Consumers Needs:

  • Ensure orders are delivered in line with the selected customer requirements.
  • Proactively communicate any issues to key internal stakeholders.
  • Creating and presenting insightful presentations to our key customers to develop an understanding of their supply chain and commercial priorities as well as deepening our relationships within their organisation.
  • If applicable, oversee any direct reports in managing the customer orders, queries and complaints. Targeting a positive outcome that does not impact the reputation of AG Barr. Proactively communicate any issues to key stakeholders at the customer regarding delivery failures or stock issues.

Maximising Contribution through Supply Chain Excellence:

  • Optimise orders to ensure they are full truck, full pallet as much as possible.
  • Suggest opportunities to supply orders from alternative locations to save cost and double handling.
  • If applicable, create a robust sales forecast, update when necessary and work closely with the sales teams to ensure accuracy.

Building a Sustainable Supply Chain:

  • Support the delivery of the A.G. Barr sustainability strategy and ambitions, focussing on ensuring “fewer, greener miles”, this links in with the full truck, full pallet point above.

What you’ll bring...

The successful candidate will have;
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Must be able to handle a fast paced environment that can change quickly. Ensure workload is managed methodically and able to prioritise to ensure deadlines are met, whilst maintaining the high standards of the customer service team.
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to build strong and lasting internal and external relationships – enabling a positive outcome through joint / collaborative working
  • Excellent customer focus, Keeping the customer experience at the heart of everything with the main aim to ensure the customer has a positive experience.
  • Must have good written and spoken communication skills – able to share key messages / insights clearly and concisely with colleagues
  • Must be analytical, the ability to identify root causes and problem solve. The capability to utilise elements of Google or Microsoft tools (particularly Sheets/Excel) in order to support this work.
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Supply Chain and the importance of ensuring the right amount of stock is delivered to the right place at the right time.
