In this role you/'ll be responsible for the programme management and delivery of the Tesco learning technology roadmap. You/'ll deliver key projects and working with our learning technology suppliers, you will be required to improve the colleague experience; delivering key enhancements to the systems in line with Tesco technology strategic plans.
You/'ll be passionate about driving a consistent and improve learner experience, ensuring the learner is at the heart of what we do. You/'ll work to simplify and move us towards a single technology eco-system for the group whilst making sure colleagues can access the learning they need in a simple, consistency and cost efficient way.

You/'ll navigate complex stakeholder relationships, internally and externally and use data and reporting to influence the business by telling powerful stories as to the benefit of improved learner technology.

You will be responsible for
  • Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive learning technology roadmap that aligns with Tesco/'s short, medium , and long term business objectives.
  • Navigate and influence a variety of stakeholders to gain buy in and sponsorship for the learning technology plan to ensure successful delivery.
  • Oversee key strategic learning projects, ensuring that learning technology and the learner experience are central to all decision-making processes.
  • Managing LMS/'s and partner suppliers; improving the user experience, improving system performance (including data integrations and quality) and deliver key system enhancements in line with Tesco Technology and People strategic plans
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the learning technology ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with capability partners to set strategic directions for content libraries and information platforms, balancing functional needs with group capability requirements.
  • Take a cost-conscious approach to all budgetary decisions, ensuring alignment with group capability budgeting priorities.
  • Champion the operating model, holding the business accountable for removing duplication and driving learner consistency.
  • Collaborate with Tesco Business Services (TBS) to break down silos and build a unified global team.
  • Design and implement governance processes, ensure adherence and prioritse work in line with group capability plans.
  • Utilise and analyse data to understand how colleagues interact with learning technology.
  • Build data-driven business cases to influence the capabilities learning agenda. Act as an SME for learning technology, keeping abreast of innovation in digital content solutions, researching and developing solutions based on the latest trends and psychological/behavioural change research
  • Championing and role modelling our Win Together behaviours, contributing to a cultural change programme across the Tesco group & actively driving a culture of learning.
You will need
  • - Understanding of digital system methods such as HR data structures, API’s, SAML, Networking technology/terminology
  • User Experience and User Interface design and/or process mapping
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders
  • Strong Project Management, Experience applying cultural / behavioural change theories in practice
  • Experience in promoting diversity and inclusion
  • Excellent consulting and critical analysis skills, Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across global teams
  • Able to present information and data to a senior audience in a compelling way
  • Commitment to continuos improvement and finding creative solutions
  • Able to embrace and drive change
  • Courage to challenge the status quo and balance high-level perspective with pragmatic approach
  • Good understanding of technology and digital learning, with a high level understanding of LMS technology requirements
  • UX-UI design skills to draw out user experiences, working with internal tech teams as well as suppliers that require guidance and leadership to design solutions
  • Experience in Learning Design
